The creation of the fund is aimed at assisting children and citizens with special needs who require expensive medical care.
During a meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh, Deputy Nilufer Alimjanova proposed the initiative to establish a special fund under the Ministry of Health. This fund will be intended for financing the treatment of children and people with special needs suffering from serious illnesses, including cancer, who require high-cost surgeries.
According to Alimjanova, many families are currently forced to raise funds independently through social networks; however, the government should take responsibility and provide targeted assistance to those in need.
