In the Jogorku Kenesh, attention was drawn to the need for support for families caring for children with disabilities.

At a meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh, Deputy Marlen Mamataliev raised an important issue regarding the need for support for people with disabilities and their assistants.

He noted that these citizens are an integral part of society, and government agencies are obliged to pay them due attention. Mamataliev emphasized that assistance in this area must be significantly strengthened.

Although benefits are gradually increasing, the deputy believes that they are still insufficient to ensure a decent existence.
“An assistant receives only 7,000 soms a month. This amount is clearly not enough for living. If there is support from relatives in the family, it is somehow manageable, but otherwise, it is extremely difficult to survive on 7,000 soms,” he noted.

The deputy called on the responsible authorities to reconsider their approaches to supporting people with disabilities and their helpers, emphasizing the importance of this issue.
