During a meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh on January 21, she noted that while the work of the Drug Control Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs has positive results, the problem remains extremely relevant.
The deputy emphasized: "Prosecutorial bodies must not remain on the sidelines. It is particularly alarming that children and adolescents aged 12-16 are involved in this dangerous activity. This is an extremely serious trend! Urgent measures are needed from the government, law enforcement agencies, and special services. This problem is growing like a cancerous tumor with branching metastases. It is necessary to strengthen cooperation with the Ministries of Education and Health," she added.
Kozhokulova also reminded about the serious and dangerous consequences associated with drug use.
She urged the prosecutor's office not to limit itself only to fighting corruption and controlling business, but also to pay attention to the situation regarding minors. "It is obvious that there is deliberate work aimed at getting young people accustomed to synthetic drugs," the deputy concluded.
