In Uzgen, a car and a truck collided: one person died, three injured
According to the press service of the Traffic Safety Department (UOBDD) of the Osh region, the incident happened on January 19 at 14:10 on the 609.4 kilometer of the Bishkek–Osh road in the village of Progress, which belongs to the rural district of Tort-Kul.
Preliminary information indicates that a 30-year-old driver of a Hyundai Sonata, residing in the village of Jeerenchi of the Jazy rural district, crossed into the oncoming lane while traveling from south to north. As a result of this maneuver, he collided with a Howo truck, driven by a 33-year-old resident of the village of Pakhta-Abad from the Aravan district.
As a result of the collision, the driver of the car and two of his passengers, a couple born in 1985 and 1988 from the Uzgen district, were hospitalized in the Uzgen District Hospital.
Unfortunately, another passenger—a 74-year-old man from the village of Shoro-Bashat in the Tort-Kul rural district—died in the medical facility.
Currently, investigations are underway regarding this incident, and all circumstances of the accident are being clarified.
