Deputy: The institution of family has broken down in Kyrgyzstan, and we need to change not the alimony system, but to strengthen the family
“As for alimony, Deputy Dastan Bekeshev [Dastan Dalabayevich], you made a rather sharp statement that could become a meme. But indeed, in this matter, one cannot blame the child. Their fate should not suffer. It is important to remember that this is primarily about the family. The institution of the family is broken, and while we talk about the alimony system being outdated, the problem is actually much deeper — it is the destruction of the family itself. The statistic of 60 thousand is a catastrophe,” she noted.
Talieva emphasized the need for greater attention to the institution of the family. She reminded that during the 7th convocation of parliament, changes were made to tighten the responsibility for chronic alimony debtors. However, even these measures did not lead to everyone fulfilling their payment obligations, the deputy added.
