Ministry of Education: Difficulties in Grades 1-2 Are Not with the Curriculum, but with Adaptation

At a working meeting at the Ministry of Education, the implementation of the 12-year school education model was discussed.

According to information from the department, starting from September 2025, methodological support will be provided to teachers by the authors of the educational programs through specialized chats. In particular, in the field of mathematics, there will be 826 educators, for the subject "Me and the World" — 570, and for Kyrgyz and Russian languages and reading — 414 and 412 respectively.

Experts believe that the educational programs for the first and second grades are not overloaded and correspond to the age characteristics of the students.
The main difficulties in educational institutions are related to the insufficient preparation of children before school and the need to change the methods of organizing the educational process.
The Ministry of Education also reported plans to strengthen control over the preparation of future students for the 2026-2027 academic year, update professional development programs for educators, and expand methodological assistance for schools.
