On January 17, a lecture titled "From Canvas to Mosaic: Kyrgyz Art of the 20th-21st Centuries" will take place at ROX Centre, formerly known as the "Ai-Pery" salon, organized by the Gapar Aitiev National Museum of Fine Arts. This event was announced by the press service of the Ministry of Culture.

The choice of venue for the lecture is not accidental: this building houses the mosaic "Ayalzat," created by the People's Artist of Kyrgyzstan, Theodor Gertsen. Visitors will be able to see this restored work of the master of monumental art.

During the lecture, art historian and leading researcher at the museum, Akjibek Beishenbaeva, will discuss the evolution of Kyrgyz art from the early 20th century to the present day. She will highlight key moments related to the formation of the national school of painting, sculpture, and monumental art, as well as answer questions from participants.

The lecture program includes:

- outstanding names and artists who influenced the development of Kyrgyz art;

- iconic works of painting and sculpture;

- features of monumental art in the urban environment;

- the mosaic "Ayalzat."
