We remind you that a large infrastructure project, Old Bishkek, is actively being implemented in the city center. Currently, more than 80% of the work has been completed.
The Old Bishkek project includes:
- underground retail spaces;
- a two-level underground parking lot for 250 cars;
- elevators and escalators;
- ramps and navigation for the convenience of people with limited mobility;
- safe and convenient pedestrian flows with entrances and exits.
On December 8, Kamchybek Tashiev inspected the construction progress near the Central Department Store on the instructions of President Sadyr Japarov.
During his visit, the Chairman of the State National Security Committee (ГКНБ) familiarized himself with the situation and instructed the demolition of structures and stops that narrow the roadway. Additionally, Tashiev ordered the demolition of the third floor of the under-construction building, as, according to the documents provided by the city administration and the Ministry of Construction, it should be two stories high.
Currently, the site is being brought into compliance with the project documentation.
