In Osh, on January 15, a fair titled "Agro Caravan - 2026" took place on the grounds of the State Uzbek Academic Musical and Drama Theater named after Babur.
According to information provided by the regional representative office, this event was organized to support the agricultural sector and enhance the qualifications of farmers. This initiative is part of the project "Partnership in Irrigation in the Fergana Valley" (FVIPP).
The event was attended by the First Deputy Head of the Osh Region, Ilyaz Tashbaev, the Regional Director of Helvetas in Central Asia, Andrew Wilson, as well as representatives from the business and farming community.
In his speech, Ilyaz Tashbaev noted that the fair is not just an exhibition, but an important platform for exchanging experiences, enhancing knowledge, and creating new opportunities in agriculture. He emphasized that the main goal of "Agro Caravan - 2026" is to familiarize farmers with modern irrigation methods, provide information about available financial products, and support the establishment of direct connections between producers, financial institutions, consultants, and companies.
It is worth noting that by the end of 2025, modern irrigation systems covering over 400 hectares were implemented in the region, and by 2026, this figure is planned to increase to 600 hectares.
