The ISS Crew Returned to Earth Early for the First Time
The returning crew included NASA astronauts Zena Cardman and Mike Fincke, Roscosmos cosmonaut Oleg Platonov, and JAXA astronaut Kimiya Yui. They spent 165 days aboard the International Space Station.
The Crew-11 mission became the first in NASA's history to be concluded early due to health issues of one of the crew members, whose name has not yet been disclosed.
Information about the health condition of one of the participants became known on January 8, when a scheduled spacewalk was canceled.
Currently, Russian cosmonauts Sergey Kud-Sverchkov, who is now the station commander, and Sergey Mikaev, along with NASA astronaut Christopher Williams, remain aboard the ISS. The next Crew-12 mission is expected to arrive at the station in mid-February.
