The Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle, is preparing for her first visit to the United Kingdom in three years. According to reports, she plans to accompany Prince Harry on his trip to Birmingham in June 2026 for the "Invictus Games."

Since the funeral of Queen Elizabeth II in September 2022, Markle has not visited the United Kingdom, while her husband has made several trips alone. Security issues have remained a concern for the Sussex family since Prince Harry stepped back from his royal duties in 2020. He has emphasized that he cannot bring his wife and children—Archie and Lilibet—to Britain due to increased risks.

After losing his right to state protection, Prince Harry began a lengthy legal battle with the UK Home Office. Although he has faced setbacks in previous instances, he continues to fight for his rights.

By 2026, the situation began to change. Despite his past failures, there have been reports that Harry has reached certain agreements with the government, raising hopes for state protection. This means that Meghan and their children will be able to safely visit Harry's homeland for the first time in a long while. This visit is expected to be one of the most talked-about events of the year.

According to Radar Online, Meghan has requested the closure of four floors of the Hyatt hotel exclusively for herself. Around the hotel, 24-hour security is to be organized. Hotel staff are prohibited from looking directly at the duchess, and she should be addressed as "Her Royal Highness the Duchess of Sussex." Her demands also include a fleet of luxury cars and police escort from the airport to the hotel.

Additionally, the duchess has requested a personal chef to prepare all meals and has arranged for four separate rooms for her assistant and a team of hairdressers and makeup artists.
