"Archive Photo." A girl in a headdress adorned with owl feathers, in 1932

As part of the collaboration with the Central State Archive of Film, Photo, and Sound Documents (CSAFPSD KR, which is part of the Archive Service of the KR), AKIpress continues the project "It Was Recently, It Was Long Ago," presenting archival photographs.

One of the photographs features a Kyrgyz girl wearing a headdress decorated with owl feathers.

This photograph was taken in Karakol in 1932, making it 94 years old.

The author of this image is Ella Maiyar.
