“Accompanying patients are asking for the Cabinet of Ministers and the Ministry of Health to take measures to build a dormitory or boarding house for their relatives coming from other regions. Cancer patients require special attention and care, as they face serious illnesses. Despite this, kind-hearted owners of neighboring houses provide shelter to those who cannot afford a hotel. In the summer, many relatives are forced to sleep in yards,” noted the deputy.
She also added that Health Minister Kanbek Dosmambetov is working on the issue of accommodating the guardians of children with cancer, but it is also necessary to consider adult patients.
“We must take action: possibly accommodate guardians on the first floors of residential buildings or engage the business community in solving this problem. The situation is indeed serious. This issue requires urgent attention. The new minister should also focus on the problems of adult oncology,” Kozhokulova concluded.
