Cleaning of irrigation canals is being carried out in the Kara-Suu district

In the Kara-Suu district, active preparations for irrigation systems are underway for the upcoming 2026 irrigation season, as reported by the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry.
Currently, work is being carried out in the region to clean, repair, and restore all irrigation channels. The cleaning of riverbeds from silt and other deposits that hinder the free flow of water is being conducted using specialized equipment to increase capacity.

As part of this work, illegal constructions located along the channels are also being dismantled, and tree cutting is being carried out to free up water protection zones, along with the cleaning of adjacent areas. In addition, inspections of the condition of hydraulic structures are being conducted, where worn-out elements are being repaired, and modernization work is carried out when necessary.
