The Ministry of Science opposed monetary fines for student absences

The Ministry of Science, Higher Education, and Innovations has recommended that universities and colleges abandon the practice of imposing monetary fines on students for absences from both classes and internships.

In the department, they emphasized the importance of this measure aimed at protecting students' rights and creating fair conditions regarding academic discipline, in order to avoid unjustified financial penalties in the educational sphere.

The Ministry suggests using alternative measures that are not related to monetary sanctions, in accordance with current legislation, instead of fines.

Furthermore, to implement this initiative, it is planned to make the necessary amendments to the regulatory legal acts governing the activities of higher and secondary vocational educational organizations.
