In Batken, former classmates are building an arch to celebrate the 20th anniversary of their school graduation.
The graduates of the school located in the village of Sogment, in the Altyn-Beshik rural district of the Batken region, marked their 20th anniversary since graduation by erecting an arch at the entrance to the village.
More than 600,000 soms were spent on the construction of this structure.
Azamat Ergeshov, one of the graduates, shared that each of them donated 20,000 soms. "The graduates of 2006 decided to contribute to the improvement of our native village in advance. Many of us will leave for various reasons by spring — for work or to other places. Therefore, we started implementing our plans earlier, without waiting for May 25. In the future, we also plan to arrange the area around the arch. At the moment, only the male graduates have taken the initiative, without involving the girls," he noted.
