The number of refugees from Ukraine to the European Union has risen to 4.33 million people
In the last month of autumn last year, the number of Ukrainians seeking refuge in the EU increased by 30,000.
The largest share was taken by Germany, which accommodated 1 million 241 thousand refugees, followed by Poland with 968 thousand 750 and the Czech Republic, where 392 thousand 670 Ukrainians found shelter.
It is worth noting that the United Kingdom, which is not part of the EU and is not included in Eurostat statistics, accepted about 230 thousand refugees from Ukraine.
Eurostat also reports that after the decision by Ukrainian authorities in August to allow young men aged 18 to 22 to leave freely, the number of those who received temporary asylum in the EU sharply increased in September and October, rising by tens of thousands each month; however, in November it returned to previous levels.
