In Tokmok, the "Kosmos" cinema reopened after renovation
As part of this project, $1 million 550 thousand has been allocated for the restoration of six cinemas in small and medium-sized towns in Kyrgyzstan, such as Batken, Cholpon-Ata, Kerben, Aravan, Tokmok, and the village of Belovodskoye. This is an important step for the film industry.
The cinema, which was built in 1973, had long been out of operation. Now it has undergone a complete modernization, including a major renovation of the 400-seat hall, the installation of modern digital equipment, and comfortable furniture. The reopening of the cinema has become a real event for the local residents.
This initiative will also create over 200 new jobs and provide residents of remote areas with access to modern cinema, including domestic films.
