Important state officials familiarized themselves with the construction process of key infrastructure projects located on the approach to Manas Airport. It is expected that the new Osh market and the Western bus station, being built near the village of Prigorodnoye, will open in May of this year.
Among those familiarized with the projects were the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Adylbek Kasymaliev, the Mayor of Bishkek Aibek Junushaliev, and the President's Chief of Staff Kanaybek Tumanbaev.

Kanaybek Tumanbaev noted that both structures should begin operating before the SCO summit, which will take place in Bishkek in August 2026.
The construction process of the new Osh market
Construction work is actively underway at the site of the new Osh market. One of the largest trading facilities in the region is already taking shape, and according to builders' forecasts, its opening is scheduled for this year.

Talant Kerimkulov, the site manager, reported that the total area of the new market is 155,000 square meters, of which 20,000 square meters are allocated for warehouses, and 50,000 for trading areas. The project plans to create a green market with a canopy and an underground parking lot for 500 cars.
According to the manager, one of the most challenging stages was dealing with groundwater, but this issue was resolved at the initial stage.
At the beginning of the work, at a depth of two meters, we encountered water. Earthworks were conducted, a double drainage system was installed, and unsuitable soil was replaced. The work was carried out using the Azerbaijani method of drainage installation.

He also added that about 500 workers are involved in the construction, and from 20 to 30 units of special equipment are used daily. The work is being carried out in stages with strict adherence to all technical standards.

According to the builders, all monolithic works in blocks No. 1–5 have been completed, and engineering communications are currently being laid. In the green market area (block No. 6), the installation of metal structures is nearing completion, while in sections No. 6–8, 10–11, and 15–20, roofing, monolithic, and engineering systems are at a high stage of completion. In some sections, engineering networks are almost fully installed, and glazing and finishing works are ongoing. The main monolithic works on transitions and driveways have also been completed.
Three wells have been drilled on the site, and work on the external and internal drainage systems is in the final stages.
Construction of water supply and sewage systems, as well as landscaping and road works, have not yet begun.
According to the builders, the opening of the market this year will be an important step for the development of urban infrastructure and will create comfortable conditions for both entrepreneurs and buyers.
The bus station of the future: current work and planned amenities for passengers
At the site of the new bus station, work is ongoing without interruption. The construction of one of the largest infrastructure projects in the city continues around the clock and in two shifts.
Sultanbek Turganbaev, the site manager, reported that work on the bus station began on February 12 of last year.
The total area of the bus station is about 30,000 square meters.
He noted that a drainage system was included in the design stage, which helped avoid problems with groundwater at the site.

Currently, all monolithic works have been completed, and builders are focusing on internal and engineering works. Electrical installation is underway, water supply and sewage systems are being laid, and heating and ventilation systems are being installed. Simultaneously, fire alarm systems, interior partitions, and tiling are being installed.
Most of the external work on the building is also completed: the roof is 80 percent ready, and the installation of panoramic windows, which will give the complex a modern look, is ongoing.
The project is commissioned by OsOO "Kyrgyzstroyservice," and the contractor is OsOO "Kurulush Company."
"The future bus station will consist of nine blocks. Five of them make up the main building of the station, while the sixth and seventh blocks are intended for the platform, where passengers will board and alight. The eighth and ninth blocks will be designed as canopies," the construction manager explained.
According to him, the new bus station will have all the necessary amenities for passenger and city comfort, including waiting rooms, a hotel, and dining options. The adjacent area will provide 50-60 parking spaces for intercity buses.
