"Unusual Names": The Dancer from Tokmok is Jokingly Called Raspberry
Kulpunai was born and spent her childhood in the village of Kalygul, which is in the Chuy district. She is the seventh of eight children in her family and is currently not married.
Kulpunai received her secondary education at the T. Oңolbaeva school in her hometown.
“I am currently studying in the field of medicine. From a young age, I had a passion for dancing and singing. Now I perform on various stages in Tokmok and have fulfilled my childhood dream — I have been teaching dance at my studio for three years,” she said.
She shared her ambitions, dreaming of performing on major stages and achieving significant success. In her free time, Kulpunai actively manages her social media and participates in charitable events.
Commenting on her name, Toktobekova noted:
“My name is indeed unusual. ‘Kulpunai’ is a rarity. My father chose it, hoping that I would be ‘sweet and successful like a strawberry.’ Sometimes people cannot pronounce it correctly and call me Cholponai. Some even joke that they call me ‘Raspberry.’
