Project "Zheneke": The Story of Ainura Kanatbekova, in Love with Horses
The project highlights the importance of family values and showcases the talents of married women. Ainura Kanatbekova from the village of Toguz-Bulak, who is passionate about horseback riding and volleyball, is one of the featured heroines.
She was born in 2001 in the village of Tört-Kül and got married, moving to Toguz-Bulak.
“I am currently on maternity leave, and I have a son and a daughter,” Ainura shared.
Her education is secondary; she completed 11 grades and got married at the age of 18.
She met her future husband at a market in Novosibirsk, where they both worked. Nursultan Nasirdinov, who is 30 years old, is also from Toguz-Bulak and is interested in ulak.
Nursultan proposed to her on the roof of a building in Novosibirsk, and at first, they communicated as fellow countrymen, but then grew closer.
“We are happy together. My husband always supports my hobbies, even when I ride difficult horses,” Ainura noted. “We live peacefully; we can go to the village or engage in livestock farming. We returned from Russia and stayed in the village after the wedding. We tried working as shepherds together, but realized it wasn't for us. We tried living in Bishkek, but it didn't work out. Now we happily live in the village,” she added.
In the Ton district, there is a volleyball team that includes daughters-in-law from several villages, and they gather for games every month.
Ainura has been closely connected with horses since childhood, and her grandfather was a shepherd. “I participated in celebrations and games on the jailoo. My brothers taught me to ride any horses. I love horses and keep several breeds,” she shared.
“In my free time, I prefer to be around the horses in the yard,” Ainura added.
