Bob Weir was 78 years old. He was a guitarist and vocalist, starting his career with the California psychedelic rock band since its formation in 1965. His death was the result of a battle with cancer.
Grateful Dead became an iconic band in the history of rock music, known for its unique blend of folk and psychedelia. It has many devoted fans in the USA. The band ceased to exist after the passing of its leader, Jerry Garcia, in 1995.
Bob Weir continued to perform actively until 2025. In July, he was diagnosed with cancer; however, even during treatment, he continued his performances, as stated on his official website.
