The Ministry of Labor reminded about working and non-working days in 2026

Some holidays are not included in the list of non-working days


The Ministry of Labor, Social Security, and Migration has published information about working and non-working days for the year 2026.

According to the established production calendar, certain holidays are not considered non-working days.

The following holiday dates have been approved:

- January 1 — New Year;

- February 23 — Defender of the Fatherland Day;

- March 8 — International Women's Day;

- March 21 — People's Holiday Nooruz;

- April 7 — Day of the People's April Revolution;

- May 1 — Labor Day;

- May 5 — Constitution Day of the Kyrgyz Republic;

- May 9 — Victory Day;

- August 31 — Independence Day of the Kyrgyz Republic;

- November 7 and 8 — Days of History and Memory of Ancestors.

As for non-working holidays, they include:

- January 1 to 12 — New Year holidays (extended by government decree);

- March 8 — International Women's Day;

- March 21 — People's Holiday Nooruz;

- May 1 to 8 — May holidays (including Constitution Day of the Kyrgyz Republic);

- May 5 — Constitution Day of the Kyrgyz Republic;

- May 9 — Victory Day;

- August 31 — Independence Day of the Kyrgyz Republic;

Also included as non-working days are Orozo Ait and Kurman Ait, the dates of which are determined by the lunar calendar, as well as Christmas, celebrated on January 7.

Shortened days before holidays: March 20, April 30, and December 31.

A shortened working day is established on February 23 and April 7.
