In Africa's oldest national park, a pair of rare mountain gorillas was born
This event is significant for zoology, as the mountain gorillas residing in Virunga are among the rarest primates on the planet and are endangered.
Rangers monitoring the condition of the mountain gorillas and their habitat witnessed this amazing event. They observed a 22-year-old gorilla named Mafuko embracing her newborn infants (both are males). Initial checks showed that the whole family is doing well.
An interesting fact is that the probability of twin births in mountain gorillas is only one percent.
