Flight to Umrah with Kyrgyz citizens departed from Uzbekistan to Kuwait after several delays, - Ministry of Foreign Affairs
Information appeared on social media that Kyrgyz citizens had been waiting for their departure for a long time at Namangan Airport.
The Embassy of Kyrgyzstan in Uzbekistan was actively working to resolve this issue, collaborating with the administration of Namangan Airport, representatives of Jazeera Airways, and the State Agency for Civil Aviation of Kyrgyzstan.
According to the airline, flight JZR668, which was supposed to depart from Osh to Kuwait City on January 5-6, 2026, was delayed due to adverse weather conditions.
On January 6, Kyrgyz citizens were sent by buses to Namangan Airport. Due to bad weather, this flight was also postponed on January 6 and 7. All Kyrgyz citizens were temporarily accommodated at the Namangan Hotel thanks to Jazeera Airways.
On January 8, passengers arrived at the airport again, and at 13:09, the flight finally took off for Kuwait City.
The Embassy of Kyrgyzstan continued to monitor the situation and maintained contact with citizens until the issue was fully resolved, as noted in the official statement.
