To reduce the risk of burglaries from apartments and private homes, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic recommends following a number of simple safety rules:
- Before leaving, make sure that all doors and windows are securely closed, and if necessary, install additional locking devices;
- Do not leave keys in accessible places, such as mailboxes or under doormats;
- If possible, install security alarm systems and video surveillance;
- Ask neighbors or close friends to check on your home from time to time;
- Do not share information about your trips and vacation spots on social media.
In addition, connecting to centralized security allows for quick responses to alarm signals and significantly increases property protection.
