Bookmakers Refused to Pay Those Who Bet on the Invasion of Venezuela

According to information published on the official website of Polymarket, users who placed bets on an American invasion of Venezuela will not receive their winnings.

In an official statement, the company noted that U.S. President Donald Trump's words about "managing" Venezuela, which he expressed in the context of negotiations with the local government, cannot be considered as confirmation of a military operation to capture [the country's leader Nicolás] Maduro.

Polymarket's policy stipulates that payouts will only be made if Washington actually begins an operation to control the territory of Venezuela.

It was previously reported that one trader earned over $400,000 betting against Nicolás Maduro; however, he is unlikely to be able to collect this winnings.
