"This is not a bribe...". A deputy gifted a sword to the mayor of the city of Osh. Video
According to the city administration, the streets of Karymov, Teshbaev, Amatbekov, and Tutashov in Toloykon have been put into operation, which previously caused problems for local residents and motorists.
Local authorities and deputies attended the event.
During one of the previous inspections, Mayor Jengishbek Toktorbaev personally familiarized himself with the condition of the roads and gave the necessary instructions. Now the situation with these streets has been corrected, and they are officially open for traffic.
The total length of the repaired roads is 1200 meters, and there are two-way sidewalks for pedestrians that are 2400 meters long. The width of the road has been increased by 10-12 meters, and an irrigation ditch has also been laid.
At the opening of one of the streets, Deputy Ilkhomzhan Karimov presented a sword to Mayor Jengishbek Toktorbaev. At first, the mayor declined the gift, but one of the elders convinced him to accept it.
The deputy noted that the sword has the inscription "To the beloved mayor," and a stand is also included.
The attendees began to joke: "This is not a bribe, it's a gift." One of the elders added: "Now we need a horse to swing the sword."
To this, Toktorbaev replied: "There is a horse."
Karimov also remarked: "This is real metal, it doesn't need sharpening, it will be very sharp."
