How many babies were born in the Jayil District in the first seven days of 2026?

During the first seven days of the new year, 16 newborns were registered in the Jayil district of the Chui region.

This information was provided by the deputy director of the local hospital, Kulai Kalpetakhunova.

According to her, 16 children were born in the maternity ward of the Jayil Territorial Hospital from January 1 to January 7.

"On the first night of the new year, three babies were born. No births were recorded on January 2, but starting from the 3rd, three newborns appeared daily," Kalpetakhunova reported.

She also added that during the holidays, not only on-duty doctors are working, but all the main specialists as well.

Furthermore, in the last three days, there has been an increase in cases of ARVI, especially among children. During this period, 18 cases of the disease were registered, of which 14 were in children. Currently, 297 patients are receiving treatment in the district hospital," the deputy director noted.
