Ministry of Internal Affairs: Parents Should Monitor Their Children's Safety During the Holidays
Problems May Arise During Long Weekends
During the winter holidays after the New Year celebrations, parents are strongly advised to pay attention to the safety of their children. This request was made by the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
The agency noted that during this time, schoolchildren spend significantly more time outdoors and in the company of their peers. In this regard, it is important for parents and other responsible adults to be aware of where their children are, who they are with, and to explain the safety rules in public places.
The increased danger of traffic accidents is associated with icy conditions and other adverse factors. Therefore, when playing near roads, children need to exercise special caution.
“We are engaged in preventive activities. However, the responsibility for the safety of children lies with the parents and their substitutes,” the Ministry of Internal Affairs added.
