According to the regional police, the number of tourists visiting the recreation area daily currently ranges from 3,500 to 4,500 people.
In connection with the increase in the flow of vacationers, law enforcement agencies have organized enhanced service to ensure public order and the safety of citizens. Police officers maintain constant control over the recreation area and regularly conduct preventive measures to prevent possible offenses and emergencies.
The police assured that at present, full safety for tourists arriving from all regions of Kyrgyzstan, as well as from near and far abroad, is ensured at the ski base. Additionally, awareness-raising work is being carried out among citizens regarding compliance with safety rules.
In the Traffic Safety Department of the Internal Affairs Department of the Issyk-Kul region for the 2024-2025 season, it was reported that there are no significant traffic jams or congestion, but the flow of cars towards the ski base is always large. As of January 3, 2025, about 1,000 vehicles entered the base, and on January 4, 2025, 1,100.
There is a shortage of parking spaces in the ski resort area, which is why tourists leave their vehicles along the main road to the base. There are also no parking lots for a large number of vehicles near the approaches to the ski base.
Traffic jams to the ski base are observed every New Year holiday. This was the case in early January 2024.
In 2024-2025, the road leading to the ski base was repaired. The length of the road from the city of Karakol to the ski base is 7.1 km. The width of the road after the repair is now 6 meters.
