National Statistics Committee: Women spend almost eight times more time on household chores than men

According to the National Statistics Committee, working women in rural areas spend an average of 6.5 hours a day on household chores, while in cities, they spend about 5 hours. Women dedicate approximately 4 hours and 40 minutes daily to managing the household, which accounts for more than 19.4% of the total hours in a day. For men, these figures are significantly lower: they spend less than an hour, which corresponds to 3.8% of their daily time. Interestingly, both men and women in rural areas spend 20% more time on household chores compared to urban residents.
