In the Jayil District, the livestock market does not meet standards: Plans to create a temporary site before the construction of a new market.
During the inspection, it was established that this market does not meet sanitary, veterinary, and infrastructure standards, and is also unsuitable for proper trading and keeping of agricultural animals.
“The unsatisfactory sanitary condition of the territory, the lack of necessary conditions for compliance with veterinary norms, and basic sanitary and household conditions were noted. There are also no drainage and wastewater systems, which poses risks to the health of both animals and the population,” the official statement said.
Despite the fact that the market operates on a commercial basis, the infrastructure has not been modernized, and the facility has not been brought into compliance with mandatory requirements.
During the trip, Osmonov also inspected a new plot of land designated for the construction of a modern livestock market. A project has already been developed for this area, which fully complies with sanitary, veterinary, and technical standards.
To ensure continuous operation and create comfortable conditions for farmers, the envoy instructed to organize a temporary trading area on the new plot within two to three weeks, including the minimally necessary conditions and veterinary control. At the same time, construction work will begin here for the new livestock market.
The existing market will continue to operate until the construction of the new facility is completed, which will help avoid disruptions and ensure a smooth transition to a modern trading format.
“The measures taken will help create safe conditions for farmers and agricultural animals, as well as gradually adapt the activities of livestock markets in the Jayil district to established standards,” the envoy's office noted.
