The works of historians from Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan on World War II have received recognition at Moscow State University.

International Forum of Literature as a Humanitarian Platform

In Moscow, at the walls of Lomonosov Moscow State University, an international scientific and pedagogical forum took place, which also hosted the congress of the Society of Russian Literature. As part of this event, a competition titled "Echo of the Great Victory in the CIS Space" was held. According to kz24.news, the event brought together researchers and educators in the humanities from CIS countries who are working on the topic of the Great Patriotic War and its interpretation in modern education.

The competition became an integral part of the extensive program of the forum and aimed to showcase scientific and methodological works based on archival data and modern research approaches. The jury evaluated the submitted materials based on criteria of scientific validity, originality of factual data, and their significance for the educational process. Organizers noted that such initiatives contribute to the creation of a common humanitarian space and the development of professional dialogue among scholars in the region.

Work on Heroes of the Great Patriotic War from Kyrgyzstan Received an Award

As a result of the competition, the work of Synara Alymkulova, Doctor of Historical Sciences and Professor at the Institute of History and Socio-Legal Education named after E.Zh. Maanayev at I. Arabaev KGU, was awarded a diploma. Her monograph "Kyrgyzstanis - Heroes of the Soviet Union and Full Cavaliers of the Order of Glory: New Facts, Names" is dedicated to the clarification and systematization of information about individuals from Kyrgyzstan who received the highest awards during the war.

This research utilized archival documents and biographical data, allowing for the supplementation and restoration of information about heroes whose contributions have not been fully reflected in academic circles. The work emphasizes the personal contribution of the republic's natives to the overall Victory, making it relevant for both historical science and educational programs.

Research on the Feat of the Panfilov Division Received Recognition

Within the same competition, the work of Professor Laila Akhmetova from Kazakhstan was recognized. As previously reported by kz24.news, her research is dedicated to the 316th Rifle Division, which later became the 8th Guards Division named after General Ivan Panfilov, formed in Central Asia and played a key role in the defense of Moscow in the fall of 1941.

The publication emphasizes that Akhmetova's work is based on an extensive base of archival sources and provides a detailed account of the combat path of the Panfilov Division, in which soldiers from Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan fought. The feat of this unit is considered an important component of the common historical heritage of the region and represents a significant subject for scientific analysis in the context of the Great Patriotic War.

The Role of the Competition for the Scientific Community

The international competition "Echo of the Great Victory in the CIS Space" is viewed by the organizers as a sustainable humanitarian platform that unites scientific and educational circles of the Commonwealth countries around the theme of common historical heritage. Its significance lies not only in summarizing results but also in forming a professional environment where research outcomes become the basis for interstate academic dialogue and expert discussion.

The competition is characterized by an emphasis on scientific integrity, working with archival sources, and the practical application of the results obtained in the educational sphere. Research recognized by the jury is seen as potential for further scientific publications, educational programs, and inter-university projects, which gives the competition practical significance and extends beyond formal competition.

The recognition of works by researchers from Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan within the same competition highlights the commonality of historical memory among the countries of the region and demonstrates the relevance of international humanitarian formats. The competition contributes to strengthening academic ties between scientific schools in the CIS and confirms the importance of joint projects in preserving and interpreting the legacy of the Great Patriotic War.
