What is happening with Larisa Dolina's apartment and when will the new owner finally receive it?

Larisa Dolina must vacate Polina Lurye's apartment on January 9. The buyer's lawyer, Svetlana Sviridenko, reported that Lurye plans to take possession of the property on that day. Earlier, the singer's defender, Maria Pukhova, stated that Dolina would free the apartment by January 5.

Recall that Larisa Dolina became a victim of fraud in 2024 when she was forced to sell her apartment. The new resident was 34-year-old Polina Lurye, who was unaware of the fraudulent scheme. The singer went to court and ultimately won the case, gaining the right to reclaim her apartment, but without the return of money to the buyer. Thus, Lurye was left without both housing and funds.

This situation sparked heated discussions on social media, reaching audiences beyond Russia. Users began actively "canceling" Larisa Dolina and demanding the return of the apartment to its rightful owner, postponing the process of dealing with the fraudsters. As a result, the term "Dolina effect" or "grandma's scheme" emerged, describing a situation where a seller attempts to contest a transaction after its completion, claiming they fell into a trap set by fraudsters and lost their funds.

In response to this situation, the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation recognized Polina Lurye's ownership rights in December 2025. The court also sent the eviction case against Dolina for a new review in the appellate instance.
