The highway will replace the old railway


Work has begun in Manas to dismantle the railway tracks, as reported by the Ministry of Transport and Communications.

Currently, the dismantling of the railway bed is taking place on the section between Jalal-Abad and Kok-Jangak, from km 406 to km 421. The work affects the area from Bayzakov Avenue in Manas to Ormon Biya Street in Oktyabrsky.

As clarified by the department, the last train passed through this route in 1998, after which the railway was not used.

It is expected that the dismantling will be completed by February 1, after which the construction of a new highway will begin on the site of the former railway.
