The NCMD now diagnoses gastrointestinal diseases at early stages

At the National Center for Maternal and Child Health (NCMD), the process of implementing the latest technologies for diagnostics continues. According to the Ministry of Health, an endoscopic ultrasound examination (EUS) was recently conducted with the participation of Deputy Minister of Health Bakytbek Kadyraliev.
The examination revealed a submucosal formation in a 53-year-old patient in the lower part of the esophagus. Based on the EUS analysis, a benign cystic structure was identified, with no signs of oncological disease. The patient was recommended for dynamic observation, and if the formation increases, a minimally invasive removal using an endoscope may be performed, which eliminates the need for surgical incisions.

Endoscopic ultrasound examination is a highly effective method that combines the capabilities of endoscopy and ultrasound diagnostics. This technology allows for a detailed study of the condition of the walls of the gastrointestinal tract and surrounding tissues, as well as the early detection of neoplasms, which is critically important for the timely identification of oncological diseases.
