In Karakol, a mobile clinic has begun operating, providing residents with the opportunity to undergo free medical examinations. This initiative is associated with March 24 — World Tuberculosis Day.

As part of this event, city residents can undergo radiological examinations, which allow for the early detection of the disease. Specialists assert that modern digital equipment utilizing artificial intelligence technologies ensures high diagnostic accuracy. “Early detection of the disease significantly increases the chances of timely treatment and quick recovery. Today, we are conducting examinations together with a non-governmental organization in one of the busiest areas of the city. Events are also taking place in various parts of the region, where the population is informed about the ways of transmission and methods of tuberculosis prevention. Additionally, to raise awareness among schoolchildren, essay contests and themed performances are being held,” said Zhanil Akunova, director of the Issyk-Kul Regional Tuberculosis Center.

According to information from the regional center, in 2025, 159 cases of tuberculosis were recorded in the Issyk-Kul region. This is 37 cases fewer than in 2024, indicating a positive trend.

Of the total number of cases, 33 were registered in the Jeti-Oguz district, which constitutes the largest share.

Experts emphasize that regular preventive examinations are a crucial tool for reducing the incidence of the disease in the region.
