At a meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh, deputy Jaiylobai Nyshanov expressed concern about the safety of patients undergoing treatment at hemodialysis centers. He pointed out the risk of viral infections and other diseases in such facilities.
Nyshanov also emphasized the need for the official referral of sick patients to hospitals, as not all medical institutions are prepared to accept them and take responsibility for their treatment.
In response, Health Minister Damir Osmonov noted that hemodialysis centers must provide services of proper quality and regularly conduct blood tests. In the event of patients developing illnesses, they should be referred to appropriate medical institutions based on the diagnosis.
The minister added that about 60% of patients with acute renal failure are capable of fully recovering, while those with chronic diseases in stage 5 are forced to undergo hemodialysis for the rest of their lives.
