At the clinic of Osh State University, the first operation of its kind, TAVI, which stands for transcatheter aortic valve implantation, was successfully performed without significant surgical incisions.

According to the university's press service, this procedure was conducted on a 72-year-old patient and became the first in the clinic's history.

The operation involved both the clinic's surgeons and specialists from Russia, as well as doctors from private medical institutions in the region. Interventional radiologist Oleg Krystyaninov positively assessed the professionalism of the clinic's team. "The clinic's staff represents a highly qualified team. They have successfully mastered modern medical equipment and were able to independently perform a significant part of the intervention," he noted.

Previously, complex operations such as liver and kidney transplants had already been performed at OshSU, confirming the high level of medical care.

Currently, the clinic is actively providing high-tech services in the treatment of cardiovascular diseases, and the number of patients seeking help here has significantly increased.
