During the meeting, Deputy Bolotbek Borbieyev drew attention to alarming statistics: about 53% of all deaths in Kyrgyzstan are related to cardiovascular diseases. He inquired about the measures the Ministry of Health is taking to address this issue.
First Deputy Minister of Health Tilek Mamadaliev informed that in recent years, the country's cardiology service has achieved certain successes. According to him, the main cause of many deaths is myocardial infarction.
The ministry clarified that angiographs are used to provide timely assistance to patients. In the case of acute myocardial infarction, the state covers the costs of stent installation for patients.
This assistance is already being provided at the Kyrgyz-Turkish Friendship Hospital, and specialized departments have also been opened in Osh and Kadamjay. The Ministry of Health emphasized the importance of providing medical assistance during the so-called "golden hour" in cases of heart attacks.
In the future, the ministry intends to develop this area and ensure similar capabilities for medical institutions across the country.
