Symptoms such as persistent fatigue, drowsiness, and dizziness are often perceived as a result of stress or overwork. However, the cause of these conditions may be low hemoglobin levels, known as anemia. This was reported by the Mandatory Health Insurance Fund.
The organization emphasized the importance of timely diagnosis to prevent serious health problems.
Every citizen of Kyrgyzstan has the right to receive a basic package of medical services, even if they do not have insured status. This package includes 12 different medical services, among which is a complete blood count to determine hemoglobin levels.
To undergo the examination without payment, the following conditions must be met:
- be registered with a Family Medicine Center (FMC) or a General Practice Center (GPC);
- consult your family doctor;
- obtain a referral for laboratory testing.
The Mandatory Health Insurance Fund noted that having a mandatory health insurance policy (MHIP) significantly expands access to healthcare services. Insured citizens can take advantage of:
- more than 40 additional types of laboratory tests (including biochemistry and hormonal tests);
- discounted medications with discounts of up to 50%;
- instrumental studies (such as ultrasound and X-ray);
- other services under the State Guarantee Program.
