The acting Minister of Health, Damirbek Osmonov, outlined his approaches to addressing staffing issues in the healthcare system.

Osmonov's candidacy was discussed in parliament during a session of the Jogorku Kenesh.

He noted that attracting medical professionals to remote regions poses a serious problem, as specialists tend to choose more comfortable conditions in cities for the sake of their families.

According to Osmonov, it is important to start addressing this issue at the training stage, during the residency.

“Graduates of the residency receive diplomas, but during their training, they do not receive a salary, and often they have to pay for their residency themselves. Therefore, it is crucial to provide financial support to residents, and after they complete their training, to direct them to the regions for 1-2 years. This will help solve the staffing problem,” emphasized Osmonov.
