At the meeting of the Committee of the Jogorku Kenesh on labor, health, women's affairs, and social issues on February 24, Deputy Minister of Health Bakytbek Kadyraliev reported that under the program from 2023 to February 1, 2026, free laboratory testing for viral hepatitis has been conducted for 2,506,791 people.

As a result of the screening, 40,942 cases of hepatitis B, 23,039 cases of hepatitis C, and 1,067 cases of hepatitis D were recorded among all those examined.

Citizens with negative test results receive free vaccinations, while those with positive results are referred for treatment at family medicine centers, he added.

In addition, an integrated patient accounting system for viral hepatitis has been implemented in collaboration with the Center for Electronic Health, which is linked to the electronic outpatient card. More than 260,000 entries have been made into the system.
