As a result of the screening, 40,942 cases of hepatitis B, 23,039 cases of hepatitis C, and 1,067 cases of hepatitis D were recorded among all those examined.
Citizens with negative test results receive free vaccinations, while those with positive results are referred for treatment at family medicine centers, he added.
In addition, an integrated patient accounting system for viral hepatitis has been implemented in collaboration with the Center for Electronic Health, which is linked to the electronic outpatient card. More than 260,000 entries have been made into the system.
To enhance the level of prevention:
- about 2,000 primary healthcare specialists have been trained;
- an information campaign has been implemented through state channels;
- more than 2 million citizens have received SMS notifications;
- information work has been conducted with 2,039 imams in collaboration with the National Agency for Religious Affairs;
- videos, posters, and audio announcements have been distributed;
- in 2025, preventive measures reached more than 1.5 million people.
