337 new cases — oncology is becoming a threat to the health of residents of Naryn region
Information was presented at the meeting indicating that the number of new cancer cases continues to rise; this year, 337 new cases of the disease have been registered.
Currently, there are 1,956 people with cancer under medical supervision in the region. Experts characterized the situation as critical and highlighted the need for improved early diagnosis and preventive measures.
The meeting also discussed the issue of providing the population with necessary medications. Participants noted that there are 13 pharmacies and 37 pharmacy points operating in the region. However, the lack of pharmacies and pharmacy points in the Naryn district raises concerns.
It should be noted that this issue has been raised previously, including in the report for the past 9 months, but it has not yet been resolved. Meeting participants strongly urged the relevant state and local authorities to take urgent measures to ensure the population has access to affordable medications.
