At the meeting of the board in the Naryn region, current issues related to medical services were discussed. Specialists analyzed socio-economic data for the year 2025, paying special attention to healthcare issues.

According to the provided information, in 2025, there were 48 recorded cases of infant mortality among children under one year old, which is 6% higher than the figures from the previous year. This fact raises serious concerns among healthcare workers.

Experts noted that the majority of fatalities occurred during the perinatal period, meaning that the children died during childbirth or in the first days after birth. The most common causes of death were asphyxia and various pulmonary pathologies.

Additionally, it was indicated that 7 of all registered death cases occurred in hospitals in Bishkek. However, since these infants were residents of the Naryn region, they are included in the statistics of this region.

Participants of the board emphasized the importance of improving the quality of perinatal care, the need to strengthen the material and technical base of maternity hospitals, enhancing the qualifications of medical staff, and focusing on early diagnosis.
