Bakyt Kadyraliev discussed the training of doctors with students of KGMA

On February 14, a meeting took place at the I.K. Akhunbaev Kyrgyz State Medical Academy, where Deputy Minister of Health Bakyt Kadyraliev interacted with students of the graduating classes.
During the event, key aspects of training future doctors were discussed, including internships and residency, as well as improving the clinical training of students. In particular, emphasis was placed on the need to enhance the practical component of education starting from the third year, when students begin to study clinical disciplines. To this end, it is planned to involve experienced physician mentors and increase the time allocated for practice in medical institutions.

In addition, Bakyt Kadyraliev announced the Ministry of Health's intention to send 20 graduates for residency training in the most in-demand specialties through a competitive process. "Participation in this program requires specialists to return to Kyrgyzstan to work in the healthcare system," the ministry clarified.

Also, as part of the project "Additional Funding for the Operation to Improve the Quality of Primary Health Care," grants are provided for international experience exchange and educational events, which will allow students to complete their residency abroad with subsequent employment in the country.

Furthermore, issues related to the formation of a personnel reserve for management positions were discussed. Bakyt Kadyraliev urged students studying at the Department of Public Health to undertake internships at the Ministry of Health to prepare future healthcare managers.

"The healthcare system needs not only highly qualified clinicians but also professional managers. We are ready to create conditions for education and international exchange, but it is important that the knowledge and experience gained serve the development of healthcare in the Kyrgyz Republic," he emphasized.
