Is it necessary to get the MMR vaccine if the child has had measles? Doctors' response
According to doctors, the immunity that develops after measles only protects against that disease.
“Thus, even if a child has had measles, they should still receive the MMR vaccine to protect against mumps and rubella,” noted the medical workers.
In accordance with the vaccination schedule of the Kyrgyz Republic, vaccination against measles is carried out using the MMR vaccine at 12 months, and revaccination is done at the age of 2 years.
