The issue of children's autism is pressing not only in Kyrgyzstan but also worldwide, - director of the rehabilitation center
“Autism is not only a problem for Kyrgyzstan but a global epidemic,” she emphasizes.
According to forecasts, by 2027-2030, one in every two newborns will be diagnosed with autism, and by 2035, the situation may significantly worsen.
The "Ayar" center has started accepting children with autism and is learning modern methods to work with them. The center's specialists apply therapeutic approaches but cannot officially hire an autism expert, as such a specialty is not listed in the state registry.
In 2025, the center collaborated again with Rossotrudnichestvo, attracting specialists for training. Classes for staff were held at the "Ayar" base and the Osh center.
“Our uniqueness lies in the constant improvement of qualifications, as methods evolve, and manifestations of the disease can vary,” Amankulova added.
She noted that Cambridge University is currently researching the causes of the global autism epidemic.
