According to preliminary data, there are 3,024 children with mental disorders in Kyrgyzstan. Ainura Orozbaeva, Deputy Minister of Labor, Social Welfare, and Migration for Digital Development, announced this figure at a meeting of the committee of the Jogorku Kenesh, which deals with labor, health, women's issues, and social policy.

She noted that the statistics on diseases may vary. The specified number includes children with Down syndrome, autism, and other congenital disorders. Appropriate benefits are provided for these children, Orozbaeva added.

In addition, she reported on the Ministry of Labor and Social Welfare's plans to create rehabilitation centers, including one that will be built in the Issyk-Kul region.
